The Washington
A return to The Washington, Blackpool for our first “home” gig of the year and what a return it was.
The venue was packed wall to wall and the atmosphere was electric and all before the band even began playing. So what happened and how did it go down?
Well it was St Patricks Day and so as previously mentioned the atmosphere was already a party vibe. As the band got set up we had a stage invader taking to the mic and singing her own version of a song.
We would like to thank the landlord, Stuart, for helping to keep the lads safe by removing a second stage invader who screamed some lyrics down the mic.
We were also fortunate enough to welcome one of the bands longest serving followers and fan, the great man himself “OGGIE”. Those of you that don’t know Paul is responsible for booking JBB every year for a number of years to perform at the Blackpool Master Rugby Event every September. It was an honour to have Paul join us for this party night.
Since it was St Patricks Day JBB thought it only right to include something befitting of such a day with their version of Wild Rover by The Dubliners.
Overall it was a great night, one we all enjoyed enormously and one where we received a lot of audience participation.
A final shout of thanks to all that came to support the band last night. If you have any videos or photos please share them with the band and we will display them proudly.
