White Bear

A return to the White Bear, Adlington was on the gig list last night….and what a gig this was.

A slightly quieter night than is usual for this venue but still an enjoyable one nevertheless.

The band went live on social media for the entirety of the first spot and for half of the second spot starting a new trend for the band…look out for this at future performances.

As always the band were on full form and even played some songs that have not been heard in a while and have never been played at The White Bear.

With the way the band set up Chris looks straight down the bar at the bar staff working. At certain points in the night he ended up in fits of laughter whilst trying to compose himself and continue singing. Later in the night Chris decided to let us all in on what was keeping him amused. Paul, the Landlord for the White Bear, was choosing to dance for Chris behind the bar…not in some erotic way…but for those 80s/90s kids amongst us he proceed to do the ‘Trevor and Simon, Swing Your Pants’ dance.

To finish up the second spot JBB brought out ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ and awaiting the immortal line “You could see she’s got it all” to ring out. As always the band were not disappointed when a member of the audience shouted out the immortal line…only to be followed by an echo of The Bandit, Mick and anyone else in that vicinity doing it again.

To finish off the night we agreed to perform Paul’s favourite song. As Chris announced this it started off a game of ‘Which Song?’ Guess ranges from Barbie Girl and Postman Pat theme tune to Backstreet Boys. Ending with Purple Rain JBB had played the night out.

If you have any photos or videos of last night please forward them to us.
