The White Horse

As the Christmas party season begins Jack Burr Band travelled to Adlington to perform at The White Horse. This charming local’s pub turned out to be one of the most atmospheric venues we have played this year. Wall to wall locals and Jack Burr Band followers keen to sing and dance along to our versions of classics from the 50s right through to the tunes of today.

Everywhere you looked Jack Burr Band T-shirts, Hoodies, Caps and Beanies were on show giving the night a home from home feeling. The audience, a mixture of young and mature partygoers, could be seen jumping, dancing and singing along with the band. If you looked closely, you could even see the odd air guitarist strumming their imaginary electric guitars competing with Andy Burr, Lead Guitarist.

The evening was a huge success for the band. It was a fantastic fun evening, whereby you know you’ve cracked it when the landlady can be seen dancing on a chair. So good in fact the infamous Grinch, Chris Jack, Bass and Lead Vocalist, sang the classic “Merry Xmas Everybody” by the legendary Slade. This rare outburst of seasonal joy brought on a generous covering of snow in which Adlington and the surrounding areas became a winter wonderland.

All in all the penultimate gig of 2023 was a huge success at a very lively venue and one we look forward to returning to in January. As always, any pictures or video taken on the night by our loyal audience would be greatly appreciated. Please forward any material via our socials or email to chris@jackburrband.com
