Phil Burr - A man few will forget

To all our wonderful fans, whom we regard as family, you will have noticed that Phil Burr has been absent from the most recent bookings with Jack Burr Band. As stated at each gig it has been medical in nature that has kept Phil from performing with the band. It is with a heavy heart that Phil has now taken the decision to step away from JBB and retire from playing drums.

Phil Burr joined the band 18 years ago following a succession of drummers working with the band. From this point the band seemed to move quickly into the dynamic performances that you have come to know and love at all JBB gigs.

Rest assured, Phil is not giving up on music entirely. He does, as you know from gigs, sing as well. As such, he sings with another band, Keneticus, that have just released an album on many different social platforms from Spotify to YouTube. We know you will continue to support him in his musical endeavours, as do we.

Andy and Chris are sorry that Phil is needing to step away but are planning to continue on with JBB and will be working on bringing in a new drummer. JBB will continue to perform at all venues on the gig schedule and will be working with ‘dep’ drummers in the meantime.
